Bing, the decision making search engine from Microsoft provides a cool HD wallpaper everyday. Do you know that you may easily use them as our desktop wallpapers? Wondering how? These are the two easy ways you may do that:

Using Firefox
- Open Bing.com in Firefox.
- Right-click > View background Image This will open the image that’s provided in the Bing Homepage.
- Now Right-click again anywhere over the image and click on Save as Desktop Background. This will set the current Bing wallpaper as your Desktop wallpaper (choose Position > Center to center the image since the image size is 968x512 px).
- To make your desktop look bit more gorgeous, make sure you choose a dark-greyish/blackish background color for your desktop.
Using BingDownloader
If you want a hassle free process rather, first you need to download BingDownloader, a small 10kb app which can download images from Bing.com and store them in your local sys. Once the Bing image is downloaded go to the download directory, open the image in Windows Picture viewer, right-click and set the image as your Desktop Background. To use Bing Downloader .NET Framework 3.5 or 2.0 must be installed in your system.
Additionally to check out all the images that were displayed in the Bing home page over time take a look at the Bing Image Archive.

I have written a script to set Bing background as Desktop Background in Linux (Gnome). Check out: http://spsneo.com/blog/2009/07/18/set-bing-background-as-your-desktop-wallpaper-in-gnome/
