Hey have you heard that google and yahoo, the two major search engine giants have finally merged? Just joking But check out these two sites I discovered lately: TWINGINE and GAHOOYOOGLE. Its fascinating to see the search results from both google and yahoo on a single page and with the help of one search query .. isn’t it? What both these sites actually do is list both google and yahoo search results on a single page in two separate frames giving a strange feeling that the two big players have merged.

I havent got enough oppertunity to do all the r&d. Meanwhile just check them out and let us all share our experiences.

27th September, 2005 - I was in my workplace and was bussy doing my regular checks and searches when I suddenly discovered the beautiful google logo with seven bits of a yummy chocolate cake with red cherries on them and the letter ‘l’ replaced by ‘7′ signifying that its google’s 7th birthday. Yup, its excellent to feel that google is growing up ! I, on behalf of webtips, take this oppertunity to wish you belated happy birthday and all the best wishes for the days ahead !!

Hey Gooooooogle, wait ! When is your official birthday by the way? I think its on 7th September,1998. But suddenly I found its changed !! Hmmmmmm ..

►Inet users are who rely much on search engine results are pretty unaware about why and how they generally use the search engines. Amazingly they are also unaware of the functionality of these search engines and the presentation of their results.

►Around 44% of se users rely on just one engine while another 48% stick to just two or three.

►Around 50% of searchers stick to a search engine for as much as few times a week while 66% opt to stay away from them.

►Nearly 38% of users know the difference between paid or sponsored results and unpaid or natural results. Only 33% users can say which results are paid or sponsored and which are not.

►A new blog is created every 7.4 seconds, or about 12,000 new blogs are created each day.
